Nomenclatural Comment: This species is named for one of the enthusiastic supporters of this study, Frederick H. Sheldon. a member of the first author’s PhD advisory committee who provided valuable advice during this study, a major component of his dissertation., Holotype. NEW ZEALAND: Northland: 1♂ (NZAC), aedeagus dissected and mounted in balsam on a clear plastic card “NEW ZEALAND ND Ruakaka 22 Jan 1977 C.F. Butcher”, “Pit trap in pasture”, “N.Z. Arthropod Collection, NZAC Private Bag 92170 AUCKLAND New Zealand”, “HOLOTYPE Sagola sheldoni Park and Carlton 2013”. Paratype (1 female). NEW ZEALAND: Northland: 1♀ (NZAC), Waipoua SF, 24 XI 1980, G. Kuschel, mats on roadside.
