Basionym: Cantharellus floccosus Schwein.
Nomenclatural Comment: published as "Turbinellus ﬂoccosus (Schwein.) Earle, Bull. N.Y. Bot. Gard. 5: 407 (1909)." However, Earle 1909 but did not create a valid combination (the epithet not directly associated with the new genus) when he cited this taxon (as Cantharellus floccosus) as the type of Turbinellus.
