- Nomenclatural Comment
- Anderberg 1991 attributes the name Psychrophyton buchanani to (Kirk) Beauverd. Beauverd did not transfer this species to Psychrophyton, but discussed it under the subgenus as Raoulia (Psychrophyton) buchanani. It seems that according to the ICBN (St Loius) 2000 Art. 33.3, Anderberg has inadvertantly made the new combination, but it is invalid because it lacks a direct reference to the basionyms place of valid publication.
