- The epithet refers to the “beautiful leaves” of this striking species. Some authors (e.g., Dixon 1926; Sainsbury 1955a) have incorrectly altered the epithet to calophylla., Lectotype: Tasmania: "Mt. Wellington, V. D. L." ("Stern Tree Valley"), S. Mossman 824, 1850, NY. (Designated by Goffinet, 2006.) Not seen. Isolectotype: BM-Wilson!
