- Taxonomic Comment
- Widespread tropical species reportedly on wood and leaves. All NZ collections referred to this species are restricted to Phormium. The biological speciealisation of the NZ collections reflect genetic difference to other putative D. rufocornea specimens; unpublished ITS sequences from NZ show close relationship to Hymenoscyphus sensu stricto (H. fructigenus, H. caudatus, etc.), phylogentically distinct Dicephalospora sensu Han et al. 2014 and Zheng & Zhuan 2019.
