- corrected biome. From Steve markham: Message: The correct biome for this taxon and other related extinct taxa (eg. L waitomoensis) is terrestrial. This is because the specimens I identified as Leiopelma gamma type in 1971 were recovered from Holocene terrestrial cave deposits. As well, extant Leiopelma spp are terrestrial in habit.
