Governance

The NZOR Governance structure comprises the following elements:
  1. NZOR Executive Secretary – an individual (Professor David Penman) contracted to provide strategic oversight and interactions with key stakeholders in the development and ongoing support of the Governance Structure for NZOR. 

  2. NZOR Steering Group – The NZOR Steering Group is a governance body representing the major agencies participating and contributing to the NZOR project.  This is a group of senior managers from their agencies/sectors. Their role is to provide strategic direction for NZOR and ensure alignment of NZOR’s goals with their agencies' key policy directions and operational imperatives. More....

  3. NZOR Advisory Group – The Advisory Group is made up of user advocates from the data provider/end-user agencies.  They support the Contractor (Landcare Research) through advising on and validating business requirements. They are also helping to develop and provide recommendation for sign off to the Steering Group of the Memoranda of Engagement (MOEs) for data access and provision. Members of the Advisory Group are also tasked with supporting and promoting uptake of NZOR within their represented agencies. More...

  4. NZOR Technology Group(s) – Technology Groups will be made up of technical staff from the data provider/end-user agencies. They will provide expert technical advice on information systems within their agencies, and will assist with uptake of NZOR within their represented agencies.
